European Commission indicators recover sequentially in December
Economic Sentiment Indicators, in the Eurozone and Portugal, recovered sequentially in December; this after a poor performance in November. However, Portugal registered in relative terms a lower recovery to the Eurozone.

Portuguese public debt should close the year below the Government's target
Gross debt as a percentage of GDP is expected to close the year at 133%, below the Government's target. However, the preliminary inflation figures for December remain in negative territory, putting pressure on the State and companies' revenues.
