June’s Government data outperformed for the second month in a row
June’s data surprised on the upside, Revenues plus 49%YoY (VAT +62%YoY) while expenditures +5.6%YoY. The deficit is now €7.06Bn YTD; only €149Mn above last year performance.

May figures continue to improve. The Trade deficit increased for the first time in 13 months
External accounts in May maintain the positive trajectory, specifically the external accounts of tourism, even though the Balance of Goods has deteriorated for the first time since April 2020.
